William “Coop” Cooper began working at the Gazette in 2018 as an intern, and he is now the current Human Interest writer. He covers stories about the fascinating people who reside in Emerson Valley and its surrounding communities. A local himself, William studied at Emerson Valley University for two years before transferring to the University of Virginia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism, graduating as part of the class of 2015.
