The History of the Official News Source of Emerson Valley
The Emerson Valley Gazette was founded in 1908 by local businessman Malcolm Warren. His family had originally come from Lancaster, England in the 17th century and settled in the Emerson Valley area. Warren sought to provide the town with a proper weekly newspaper to replace the various newsletters distributed during its early days. Within five years of its establishment, the Gazette was in nearly every household in Emerson Valley.
Over the years, the Gazette’s readers have come to expect a high caliber of investigative journalism and thoroughly-researched articles. We have strived to maintain these standards across every facet of the organization. This includes employing some of the region’s top journalists and writers to ensure you get the same quality content that is offered by the industry’s premiere names.
In 2019, the Gazette decided to close its offices and cease printing physical copies of the newspaper in an effort to transition to an operational practice more in line with modern media. However, we will continue to provide you with the same tier of content as we always have, and it will now all be in a convenient online space for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to bringing you the news for many years to come!
