The Emerson Valley Gazette is holding a contest for our readers to join me for a special overnight camping trip from October 31st to November 1st. I will be leading ten lucky winners into Blackwood Forest for a night filled with laughs, scares, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new.

This event is being sponsored by the Raven Club. All provisions for the trip will be provided by the club, and we will meet up at Raven Hall for a special dinner hosted by club president Miriam Rook before heading to the forest.

The contest will run from October 3rd to October 17th. We will announce the winners on October 19th. In order to enter, email me your scariest camping story at martinjfitzgerald@gomail.com with the subject “Halloween Contest.” Please include your name, age, occupation, and blood type. In addition to the ten camping trip winners, we’ll be posting the best story on the Gazette’s website this Halloween.
