Jeremy Witt: June 4, 1982-September 24, 2025

Jeremy Witt was born on June 4, 1982 in Boise, Idaho to David and Karen Witt. He was found dead along the “F” trail in Blackwood Forest in the early hours of September 24, 2025. The authorities have ruled it a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Witt is survived by his wife Regina (38) and children Hannah (12) and Caleb (9). He is predeceased by both his parents.

Mr. Witt lived in Emerson Valley with his family after getting a job at Ibex Labs in nearby Carson Hills seven years ago. He was previously an employee at Quest Diagnostics in Charlottesville, VA. His coworkers at Ibex described Mr. Witt as a great boss who was dedicated to his job. Sadly, his death comes amid a pall of scandal, as he had recently been accused of taking bribes to influence test results. The accusations leveled against Mr. Witt have not been yet been proven.
