Deep in Blackwood Forest, one might stumble upon the visage of Zurael, the Lost Angel. Local legend holds that Zurael came to the forest in an effort to cast out the darkness that had swallowed the land. However, she underestimated just how powerful her foe truly was, and for that mistake, she paid dearly.
Unable to escape the clutches of the forest, Zurael was overcome by its creeping tendrils, ensnared by the infinite madness that plagues the region. Her skin was turned to stone, but her mind was free to endure the torture of endless consciousness while trapped in her own body—a statue frozen until the end of time.
Let the Lost Angel be a warning to any who stumble upon her: there is no escape from the darkness. It will consume you. It will consume us all. It will consume everything that is and all that will be. In the end, nothing shall remain. Such a fate is inevitable. So enjoy the time you have left. It is quickly dwindling with every passing moment.
