Powell Brothers Funeral Home

Losing a loved one is hard enough. There’s no reason why making arrangements for the deceased needs to add to your burden. That’s why if you choose the Powell Brothers Funeral Home for all your death-related services, we’ll take care of everything for you. Our motto is: “You’ve got enough to worry about—leave the dead to us.”

Our funeral home was founded in 2003 by brothers Hector and Ulysses Powell. Their father Kent and grandfather Seamus were also undertakers, working in funeral homes all around the country. The Powell brothers settled in Emerson Valley after their car broke down during a trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. They were taken to the nearest service station, which happened to be located right here.

The Powell Brothers Funeral home is located on Main Street between Birch Street and Oakwood Avenue. Stop in for a demonstration and pick up your complementary t-shirt. Don’t let burying your loved ones become another burden. Let us carry the load for you.
