This weekend, President of the Raven Club and esteemed lifelong citizen of Emerson Valley Miriam Rook is turning 50! To mark the occasion, the Raven Club is hosting a 50th Birthday Bash for Mrs. Rook at Raven Hall tomorrow evening. While the pandemic has thrown a wrench in some of their plans (they began organizing it last year), we’ve gotten pretty good at adapting to our current circumstances. A limited guest list will be admitted to Raven Hall itself, but anyone in town can join the festivities over a special birthday livestream that will be made available to anyone who wishes to help honor Mrs. Rook’s 50 years on this planet.
Raven Hall’s doors will open at 5:30 PM, and in-person guests will be provided a luscious dinner catered by three-star Michelin chef Eudora Godwin. The birthday livestream will kick off at 7 PM, just in time to sing “Happy Birthday” to Mrs. Rook and watch her open her presents. Anyone who would like to send cards, flowers, or gifts to the birthday girl can drop them off in the gift bins that will be set up outside Raven Hall from now until the event begins. For more information, contact the Raven Club directly, or send us an email at emersonvalleygazette@gmail.com.
