Burton Maynard: May 3, 1968-December 1, 2019

Burton Maynard was born on May 3, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio to father Andrew and mother Denise Maynard. He passed away in the late evening of December 1, 2019 at St. Benedict’s Hospital. Both of his parents preceded him in death, and he is survived by his wife, Melissa, and children Jason, Darren, and Regina.

Mr. Maynard spent 19 years working as an elementary school teacher, including 2 years at Redwood Elementary School until its closure in 2002, followed by 17 years at Springwood Elementary School. He taught the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade throughout his time at both schools.

In the early afternoon on November 30th, Mr. Maynard checked into the hospital after suffering a violent bout of food poisoning. Unfortunately, the doctors were unable to treat it, and he passed away around 10:17 PM on December 1st.

The Powell Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A wake is scheduled to be held on December 7th from 11 AM to 1 PM, and the funeral will occur the following day from 10 AM to 12 PM.
