Dear Libby: I Need Help Finding The Right Halloween Costume

Dear Libby,

Halloween is fast approaching, and I have no idea what I’m gonna wear. I’ve gone through everything in my closet, everything at Party City, and everything I could find at Goodwill. It just seems like there’s nothing I like. You always come up with such fun costumes for the Halloween Bash, so I thought maybe you could gimme some suggestions?

Listless and Costumeless

Dear “Listless and Costumeless,”

People always tell me I come up with so many great costumes, but all I really do is grab whatever’s lying around and try to fit them together like puzzle pieces. This year, I’m going as a sultry vampire from the Victorian age. It’s a classic little number with a tight corset, flowing skirt, and knee-length high heel boots. I know my coworkers are going to love it!

As for you: have you tried being a librarian or a nurse? Maybe a police officer or a secretary? I’ve gone with all of those in the past, and they always garnered me a torrent of attention. I suppose it comes down to whether you’re the kind of girl who can pull it off or not. It’s not for everyone. If you can’t, don’t feel bad—one of our paper’s reporters can’t pull off costumes like that, either!

Lovingly, Libby
